Leave sex education out of school
I and many friends and relatives are angry and appalled that SB 1619 was approved in committee and evidently will soon be voted on in the Illinois senate.
Our government should not further burden school districts with more rules and regulations particularly with regard to sex education. This proposal would subject public elementary and high school students to graphic visual material and verbiage which is unnecessary to the education process.
Please allow our children to learn the skills they will need to further their education, compete in the job market or pursue whatever career they may choose. Keep the government out of sex education. It is not necessary. Leave this subject to those who care most for the children, their parents.
