Tennessee Titans player Kenny Britt arrested in NJ
BAYONNE, N.J. — Police arrested Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt in his hometown of Bayonne, N.J., after an officer said he was speeding.
Bayonne Police Chief Robert Kubert says Britt faces charges of eluding the officer, hindering apprehension and obstructing governmental function. A passenger in the car has also been charged.
Kubert says Britt was driving his Porsche at 71 mph in a 50-mph zone Tuesday. The chief says Britt drove away from the officer and was eventually found on side street walking away from the car.
Kubert says Britt first denied being in the car, then denied driving before admitting he was behind the wheel.
It's not immediately clear if he has a lawyer.
Britt and his passenger face an April 19 court appearance.
