Pohlman field dedication Thursday at Prospect

The ceremony to name Prospect’s baseball field after former head coach Larry Pohlman will be held before Thursday’s 4:30 p.m. home game with Hersey.

A reception for former players, coaches, community members and friends will start around 3 p.m. in the school’s community room. The on-field ceremony with the unveiling of the scoreboard sign will start around 4 p.m. and there will also be a postgame gathering at Bogies Ale House in Mount Prospect.

Pohlman was Prospect’s head coach from 1968-96 and had a career record of 435-304.
