West Chicago forms 9/11 committee:

West Chicago Mayor Mike Kwasman has appointed residents Donald and Nancy Smith to lead a committee to plan a citywide observance of the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

The observance is not intended to replace or interfere with the West Chicago Fire Protection District’s annual commemorative service, but will offer residents an additional way to honor the memory of those who died.
