Don’t cut budget at wildlife’s expense
The 2011 congressional budget compromise included a horribly dreadful decision to delist majestic gray wolves from the endangered species list. This was done to placate the interests of inhumane and cruel hunters and ranchers who want to viciously massacre these wondrous creatures into extinction.
The country’s financial crisis was caused by greedy and reckless humans. It’s unconscionable to remove a direly imperiled animal from the endangered species list as a means to make a minuscule budget cut. This is proof that our nation is becoming increasingly violent and irreverent.
As long as we have hunting fields we will continue to have battlefields because disrespect for life incites more disrespect for life.
