Loops the Lakes 5K on for Saturday
The 10th Annual Loop the Lakes 5K Run/Walk will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 30. The race begins at the Century Park boat dock shelter on Lakeview Parkway, north of Route 60, in Vernon Hills. The event fee of $25 includes a race shirt, refreshments and awards for the top two male and female race finishers in each age category. Check-in is at the shelter from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Registrations are also accepted at www.signmeupsports.com. At 11 a.m., in Century Park, a free kit fly is scheduled. Registration is not required anyone wishing to buy a kite should call (847) 996-6935. Parking is in the Century Park lot off Lakeview Parkway.
