Head shaving for a cause

Individuals from Lake and McHenry counties will have their heads shaved for cancer research from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 10 at the Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department bingo hall, 114 Washington St. The afternoon will feature music, 50/50 raffle, cash bar and food. A $10 per person donation includes admission and entertainment. Those who want to sign-up should contact Greg Koeppen at stbaldricks@ymail.com or by calling (847) 231-4577. Shavees will be given a web page address that can be used to collect pledges. The event is open to all ages. Last year, 70 people participated and raised nearly $23,000 for childhood cancer research.
