Stevenson High School writers honored
Stevenson High School senior Ariel Rosen and junior Naomi Rawitz have been chosen as semifinalists in the Los Angeles-based Blank Theatre Company’s 19th annual Nationwide Young Playwrights Festival, the Lincolnshire school announced Wednesday.
Rosen was chosen for her play, “Snow Plow Guy,” while Rawitz was selected for her work, “Grin and Bear It.” This is the second consecutive year Rawitz has been a semifinalist.
The winning playwrights will be announced in May, and their works will be produced and performed by professional directors and actors in June at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood.
