Europe should deal with Greek economy
I am an American of Greek descent and I am appalled at the United States intervening in the European Union to bailout Greece. The matter is an issue for the European Union, thus the name, European Union.
Besides, if the people or governments of the continent have a problem with United States arrogance they apparently do not have a problem with $1 billion.
The countries of the continent voted for this union, and it should be up to them to bail themselves out of the mess they have created. This is only the beginning.
Socialist countries such as Greece should fail, period. A society cannot be sustained with a population dependent upon others to work for their needs.
My grandparents, whom I never met, were taken from us in the Greek Civil War in 1946 - killed by the Socialists, and now they are taking my tax money. I am sickened by this news. Margaret Thatcher said it best, "The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."
I have to pay for the very socialism I despise. Alas, why should I get worked up, socialism is running full-steam ahead in this country with government takeover of private enterprise and I already pay for illegal immigrants who should not be here in the first place. America is faltering.
