Blackhawks sign forward Brandon Bollig

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Brandon Bollig to a two-year entry-level contract, which begins at the start of the 2010-11 season.

Bollig, 23, ranked fourth on St. Lawrence University (ECAC) with 25 points and tied for fourth with 18 assists while appearing in all 42 games during his sophomore season. The St. Charles, Mo., native led the squad with 83 penalty minutes and finished sixth with 7 goals. Bollig has appeared in 78 of St. Lawrence's 80 games over the past two seasons, collecting 38 points (13G, 25A) and 134 penalty minutes. He was named the co-winner of the team's Rookie of the Year Award after his freshman year in 2008-09.

Prior to St. Lawrence, Bollig collected 73 points (37G, 36A) and 593 penalty minutes in 173 regular-season games spanning three seasons with the USHL's Lincoln Stars (2005-08).
