Look to Kirk's accomplishments

In our lifetimes, our nation and community hasn't seen the severe economic problems, terrorism threats and intense political negativism that exists today. That is why I am supporting Mark Kirk for election to the United States Senate in Illinois. I am encouraging others do so as well.

Mark Kirk is the most experienced candidate and one who can best address the country's needs. His background includes:

Ÿ Serving in the military as a Naval intelligence officer and spending time in Afghanistan with American troops,

Ÿ Representing the 10th Congressional District for five terms,

Ÿ Serving as a member of the House Appropriations Committee,

Ÿ Acquiring a B.A. from Cornell University, a master's degree from the London School of Economics and a law degree from Georgetown.

I am a resident of Mark Kirk's 10th Congressional District. I know of his extensive accomplishments in support of his constituents, such as preventing closure of the North Chicago VA Medical Center, funding public schools and combating gangs. I listen to other district residents (in town hall meetings, at forums, in conversation) express appreciation for his efforts as their representative. We recognize an experienced, independent leader with a track record of consensus building in the U.S. House.

Mark Kirk is a fiscal conservative and recognizes the implications of limitless federal spending and a massive federal debt. Her is endorsed by the Daily Herald and Chicago Tribune. They cite his national security expertise, fiscal conservatism, independence from stringent party lines and a willingness to work toward consensus in providing their endorsements.

Absentee voting began Oct. 11, but whether you vote early or wait until election day please vote for Mark Kirk. He is the right candidate at the right time.
