Comerouski lifts Christian Liberty

Sophomore Luke Comerouski scored a career-high 26 points to lead Christian Liberty (12-9, 4-5) to a 71-66 Northeastern Athletic Conference boys basketball victory Thursday at Keith Country Day in Rockford.

Comerouski was 10-for-20 from the field and hit three 3-pointers. He also had 11 rebounds and 3 assists.

Gabriel Clayborne had 16 points, three 3s, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, Mike Hennek scored 14 points and Nathan Elleson added 12 with second-leading scorer Aaron Johnson out because of an injury.

Christian Liberty erased a 39-33 halftime deficit with a 23-7 third quarter.

BaseballBarrington senior outfielder Derek Foderaro committed to Kishwaukee Community College. Foderaro hit .318 with 20 RBI and 9 stolen bases for last year's Class 4A supersectional qualifier.Foderaro is the fourth Barrington player to make a college commitment with pitcher Robby McDonnell (Illinois) and pitcher Sean Buchholz and outfielder Anthony Brignola (John Logan College).
