Enough of the liberal social engineering

Just what we need — more liberal social engineering.

According to the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, Bureau of the Census, and Historical Statistics of the U.S., between 1962 and 2000, in response to Supreme Court decisions prohibiting Bible teachings in public school, removal of the Ten Commandments from student view, and prohibiting the saying of this simple prayer: “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon thee, and we beg thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers, and our country.” in school, SAT scores have gone down 10 percent, teen suicide went up 450 percent, Child Abuse went up 2,300 percent, illegal drug use by youth went up 6,000 percent, teen criminal arrests up 150 percent, divorce up 350 percent, and births to unmarried teen girls went up 500 percent.

I think I see a pattern here. Now President Obama has instructed his attorney general not to defend the law of the land, the Defense of Marriage Act, passed by our Congress and signed into law, from lawsuits being filed against it by the LGBT community.

Does our president, a former constitutional law professor, think this country is now a monarchy rather than the democratic republic where Congress passes laws and the executive branch of the government defends attacks on them? We didn’t all go to bed one night and wake up with a king rather than a duly elected government of, by, and for the people.

So what is he thinking? Marriage has always been between one man and one woman since God instituted it in the Garden of Eden. The American people wanted DOMA passed and want it defended. Enough with the liberal social engineering.
