Hanover Park man charged in Addison stabbing

A Hanover Park man has been charged with a stabbing last month that left an Addison man hospitalized with knife wounds to his neck and shoulder, according to a grand jury indictment made public Wednesday.

The felony complaint charges Kevin T. Le, 42, of the 5600 block of Pebble Beach Drive, with one count each of residential burglary and aggravated battery.

Le is accused of entering a home on the 1200 block of Anvil Court in Addison about 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 16 and stabbing a man with a knife. Addison police said the victim, who is about 40, was rushed to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he underwent surgery for a “serious stab wound.”

Afterward, authorities distributed a letter around the neighborhood informing residents that a stabbing had taken place, but no one else was in danger. Police said the attack appeared to stem from a domestic dispute.

Le was arrested on preliminary charges last month and was released after putting up a $10,000 cash bond, according to DuPage County court records. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and to refrain from possessing firearms and other weapons. Le’s next court date is Monday before Judge Blanche Hill Fawell.
