Dist. 15 music students turn in 32 perfect performances

Hundreds of band, orchestra, piano, and vocal music students from District 15 performed in the Illinois Grade School Music Association's annual Solo and Ensemble Contest, held Feb. 12 at Lake Forest Country Day School in Lake Forest.

Judges rated the students' performances, and awarded them medals in three divisions: perfect, superior, and excellent.

District 15 students presented 346 pieces for the contest. Judges awarded perfect ratings to 32 of those performances, which featured a total of 39 students whose names are listed below.

Of the rest of the performances by District 15 students, 256 received superior ratings, and 58 received excellent ratings.
