Blackhawks activate Johnson from IR

The Chicago Blackhawks have activated forward Ryan Johnson from the Injured Reserve list.

Johnson, 34, has recorded two penalty minutes and seven shots on goal in nine regular-season contests with the Blackhawks this season, his first in the organization.

The Blackhawks will host the Pittsburgh Penguins today at 2:30 P.M. at the United Center. The game will be broadcast nationwide as NBC's Game of the Week, the centerpiece of the network's “Hockey Day In America” celebration. It can be heard locally on 720 WGN.
