Police looking for suspect in Streamwood pharmacy robbery
Police say they are looking for a man who entered a Streamwood pharmacy inside a Jewel-Osco Sunday night and stole five bottles of controlled substances.
Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the pharmacy portion of the store, which was closed at the time, through a damaged door and placing bottles of drugs in his pants before leaving, police said.
One-hundred and eighty pills of painkillers and ADHD medication along with a bottle of painkiller liquid morphine solution were taken, according to police.
Police said the drugs were valued at nearly $700.
Three employees were in the store during the theft as the suspect lingered around the pharmacy for more than 40 minutes before leaving the store, according to police.
The 6-foot tall, medium build man was wearing a black knit hat, dark colored jacket, blue jeans and gloves. Police said he left the store at 11:55 p.m.
A dark colored small pickup truck was seen driving away with the headlines off from the area where the man was seen walking on surveillance cameras.
