Sad commentary: Sticker removed

I recently mentioned to my son that I noticed a campaign sticker on my car had been partially torn off. He asked, “Who would do that?” Later, while visiting a friend at the DuPage Convalescent Center, I came out to my car and the sticker was removed. I’m blessed to live in the U.S. where I have the right to free speech. It disappoints me that whomever removed it felt that was the most constructive way to share their viewpoint.

Welcome to an era of incivility and lack of respect. I’m hopeful that my children follow my lead and stay true to their beliefs, especially when others don’t respect the right of free speech for everyone.
