This and that:
Marian Hossa didn’t play in the third period after taking a hit from Ladislav Smid. Hawks coach Joel Quenneville reunited the line of Toews, Kane and Patrick Sharp, and they responded with 3 goals and 5 points. Quenneville also switched defense pairs with good results, playing Duncan Keith with Nick Leddy and Brent Seabrook with Jordan Hendry.
