Quinn sold out over tax increase

You don't have to “read Qunn's lips.” He promised he wouldn't raise taxes above 1 percent when he was begging votes just a few weeks ago, but on Jan. 12 Quinn, Madigan and the “House of Democratic lemons”, in a lame-duck session, led Illinois taxpayers and the state of Illinois over the proverbial financial cliff, increasing our taxes by 67 percent. No wonder everyone, including the respectable governors of Indiana and Wisconsin, is laughing at us.

Quinn's response; “Our house was on fire.” He's forgotten his meaningless job as lieutenant governor. Has he also forgotten his eleventh-hour deal with the public pension union, where he solidified their outrageous pensions in order to secure their votes? Doesn't he care that his decisions, and Madigan's, will send business running from Illinois, taking all those jobs and all opportunities for recovery with them? If the house was on fire, we know who lit the match.
