Packers fans in Chicago won't forget this win
MILWAUKEE — Green Bay fans from around the country who were lucky enough to see the Packers beat the Chicago Bears for a trip to the Super Bowl experienced firsthand a game they will likely never forget.
Wisconsin native Steve Newman traveled from Wasilla, Alaska to witness the Packers' 21-14 victory at Soldier Field. Newman tells the Journal Sentinel the $3,300 he spent for a pair of tickets was well worth it. Newman brought his son, David, who watched his first pro football game.
No one seemed to mind the cold. Not even Jim Bernacchi from Scottsdale, Ariz. Bernacchi is a native of Kenosha who gathered his family from around the country and got them a ticket to the game. Bernacchi says it was an experience like none Packers fans will ever see again.
