Maybe Cohen should blame pen
Richard Cohen’s column on the Arizona shootings had me sitting with my mouth hanging open. “It’s the gun that did it” must be the most ridiculous statement I’ve heard of late. Inanimate objects do not move, function, or kill without some human action behind them.
Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. People choose their actions, and they choose the objects to use in their actions, whether that be a firearm, a motor vehicle, or any other object necessary for their task at hand, good or bad.
I guess Mr. Cohen will not be blamed, nor take credit for, his column since it was “the pen that did it.”
