Libertarians would have saved us

Many years ago I became involved with the Libertarian party, not an official member. This was the 1970s and I was a student at Northern Illinois. After 40 years of watching politicians/political parties and agendas with the two major parties manipulating the public for votes, it seems that by now it should have dawned on the general public that neither of the two major parties have served the needs of the general public, at least not very well.

Now people are throwing their weight and energies behind “the tea party.” They would be better off if they gave their votes to the Libertarians. I know that with “laissez-faire” capitalism and maintaining the gold standard, we would never have had the Wall Street collapse and debacle. We would not have had a government “bail out” of the Wall Street moguls. Libertarians would have saved the economy.

If the Libertarians had been running this country, we would not have had a $30 trillion national debt nor would the Chinese hold leverage over the U.S. economy. We owe China an incredible amount of money which means they have control over international policy. We don't dare offend the Chinese because they will call in their debt, and the U.S. will be on its knees begging for mercy. If the U.S. borrows money from other countries, it puts our national interests in jeopardy because it is giving our power away.

We are now a “beggar nation.” The Libertarians would have insured absolute financial accountability, but both other major parties have robbed the national “piggy bank,” leaving this country financially ruined.
