Elk Grove H.S. variety show opens Jan. 26

Elk Grove High School will present its 2011 Variety Show at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 through Saturday, Jan. 29, in the school theater, 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd.

Approximately 100 students are involved in the production, titled, "Extreme Giant Happy Super Fun Time V-Show."

Featured acts include Orchesis, Acapella, musical ensembles, Elk Grove percussionists, Bollywood-style dancers, and a comedy troupe to keep things light and moving along.

Brad Kahler and Miguel Sanchez are the directors, Sue Montemayor is the house manager, and student directors are the following: seniors Shannon Hancock and Roderick Phillips (comedy troupe), junior Sarah Gorecki (house band), and sophomore Allison Nowak (tech).
