Water system work planned in Vernon Hills, Mettawa

The Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency, which provides water to the Vernon Hills and Mettawa areas, will be working on its water delivery system Tuesday, Jan. 25 through Thursday, Jan. 27 and Tuesday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb. 3.

Water service to Lake County customers will not be interrupted, but the work may impact customers in Vernon Hills and Mettawa as there may be fluctuations in water pressure. Any severe pressure losses should be reported to the Lake County Public Works Department at (847) 377-7500 or (847) 309-0266.

The construction periods may have to be extended or modified depending upon weather or construction delays.
