South Elgin downs Lake Park

Jake Hicks and Phil Saccameno scored goals as South Elgin’s boys soccer team held off Lake Park 2-1 Wednesday night in the semifinals of the Class 3A Addison Trail regional.

Issac Perez and Quinn Uveges had assists for the Storm, which also got 13 saves in goal from Tyler Shipon.

The Storm will take on Addison Trail at 6 p.m. Friday in Addison for the regional championship. Addison Trail ended Bartlett’s season, 4-0, in Wednesday’s other semifinal.
