Mount Prospect man sentenced to three years for sexually abusing a teen

In exchange for his guilty plea to aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a 22-year-old Mount Prospect man was sentenced to three years in prison Monday. Jorge Jimenez, of the 300 block of Hawthorne Circle, admitted to police he had a sexual relationship with a teenage girl last year when she was 13, prosecutors said. The now 14-year-old became pregnant and had a baby. Prosecutors say she and the defendant no longer have a relationship.
Jimenez, who has no criminal background, pleaded guilty to a class 2 felony. He received credit for the 130 days he has spent in custody since his arrest.
