Three rescued in Bartlett, but village streets now clear

About 17 inches of snow fell over Bartlett on Wednesday night, and police rescued three people stranded in their vehicles on Bartlett Road.

As of noon Wednesday, all Bartlett roads are clear and passable, reported Gabrielle Infusino, the village’s community relations coordinator. The village used 54 plows clearing snow on every village road and cul-de-sac.

But Infusino said part of West Bartlett Road, from Rt. 59 to Naperville Road, was still closed as of late morning because of snow drifts. Cook County plows were on the way, Infusino said.

The police department’s warming center was open overnight. Only one home reported a power outage. No major accidents were reported, Infusino added.
