Cary man hit by vehicle at least twice, police say

A fight between two Cary men culminated early Saturday with one of them driving a vehicle into the other at least twice, police said.

Officers responded at 4:16 a.m. to a report of a possible fight behind Walgreen's, 500 Northwest Hwy., according to a Cary police news release.

Authorities said a subsequent investigation found that 23-year-old Michael Rohn of Cary drove a vehicle into 20-year-old Jeremy Sojka, also of Cary, two times or more after a fight, then fled.

Officers arrived to find Sojka conscious but unable to move due to his injuries, police said. He was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, which would not release his condition Tuesday.

Rohn is charged with three counts of aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony punishable by up to five years in prison. He was released Monday after posting an $8,000 cash bond.
