The 28th annual Barrington Area CROP Hunger Walk is a community hunger education and fundraising event sponsored by Church World Service, an international ecumenical relief, development and refugee resettlement agency providing assistance in the United States and around the world. It is a one-mile or 10K walk through the village of Barrington that begins and ends at this year's host church, St. Anne Catholic Community, 120 N. Ela Street.

The CROP Walk will be held Sunday, Oct. 17, and is immediately followed by a "stone chili" supper and live musical entertainment. The CROP Hunger Walk is supported by churches, civic organizations and schools in the greater Barrington area, including Lake Zurich and Wauconda.
