Take a brewery tour in Milwaukee:

The Vernon Hills Park District is hosting a day trip to the Miller/Coors Brewery plus dinner from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5. Participants will take a bus to Milwaukee to tour the second largest brewery in the world, get a firsthand look at the operations and enjoy samples and check out the souvenir and gift shop. This trip involves a lengthy walk and can have temperature extremes. After the tour, attendees will board the bus and enjoy complimentary snacks and cheese curds. Dinner will be at the famous Brat Stop in Kenosha. The cost is $40 for residents and $50 for nonresidents and includes transportation, snacks and dinner.
