Roselle pool captures Five Star Award

Roselle Park District’s Kemmerling Pool has received a Five Star Award from the Starfish Aquatics Institute following an unannounced performance audit of the lifeguards and management staff.

“Very few aquatic facilities qualify to receive this honor,” SAI President Leslie Donavan said. “It represents a tremendous commitment to safety and training, and exceptional performance by the lifeguard staff on duty at the time.”

SAI is one of the largest lifeguard, swim instructor and pool operator certifying agencies in the United States. The institute offers training courses and also provides services such as performance audits to the aquatic industry in an effort to improve safety and reduce the risk of drowning.

Roselle’s Anne Bennett and Jonathan Winarski accepted the award on behalf of the park district.
