National string performers give local palyers a workshop before concert

Barrington High School string players were coached by some of the best Thursday, when the nationally acclaimed group Barrage put on a workshop at the high school before playing an evening concert.

The concert, sponsored by the McHenry County Youth Orchestras, also involved string players from MCYO and selected string players from the Barrington area schools.

Barrage has been conducting workshops around the country, part of their mission to show how versatile string instruments are outside of a classical orchestral setting.
