Chicago North Suburbs Convention Bureau has new logo, website

The Chicago North Suburbs Convention & Visitors Bureau, which serves Des Plaines, Mount Prospect and Prospect Heights, launched a new logo, tagline and website at its annual Getaway Guide Release Event held Wednesday at the Grove Redfield Estate. The event provided a platform to discuss and showcase the new philosophy behind the logo and website.

“With subtle colors yet an edgy feel, our new logo reveals a message inside a message,” Brent Edwards, executive director said, referring to highlighting on the words “go suburbs.” The bureau also developed a tagline: “On the edge of it all …”

The new website includes an extensive photo archive library, Facebook and Twitter links, videos, interactive Getaway Guide and a new search tool. “We worked very hard to create a site that is easy on the eyes and easy to navigate,” said Edwards.

The redesign took four months, he said.

“We want leisure travelers and tour groups, corporate meetings and reunions, to visit our region because we are on the edge of everything. On the edge of great dining, on the edge of wonderful museums and park districts and we are on the edge of the great city of Chicago,” he said. “We think our logo says it all.”
