Mt. Prospect summer concert features pop cover band

This week’s Fridays on the Green concert 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, features A Thousand Julys!, a Chicago area pop/R&B/dance cover band, playing songs by Michael Jackson, Prince, Usher, or Parliament, mixed with current hits.

The free concerts are on the Village Green in front of Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson St.

The concert is sponsored by Billy Goat Tavern at Randhurst Village and AT&T U-verse.

The Friday on the Green Concert series is on the first and third Fridays of each month June through September. The final concerts of 2012 are scheduled for Sept. 7 featuring Jack Straw, and Sept. 21 featuring the Committee Band.
