Bears sign sixth-round draft pick LeFevour
The Bears signed quarterback Dan LeFevour, their sixth-round pick, to a four-year contract Thursday afternoon.
The 181st overall selection, LeFevour is the NCAA Bowl Subdivision's (formerly Division-I) all-time leader in total touchdowns with 150 (102 passing, 47 rushing, 1 receiving). His 15,853 yards of total offense rank second in NCAA Bowl Subdivision history. The four-year starter from Central Michigan and Benet Academy High School is the only player in NCAA history with 12,000 career passing yards (12,905) and 2,500 career rushing yards (2,948).
LeFevour is the fourth of the Bears' five draft picks to sign with the team this week, joining seventh-round offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb, fifth-round cornerback Joshua Moore and fourth-round defensive end Corey Wootton.
Only third-round safety Major Wright remains unsigned.
