SHS students compete in chess tourney

Stevenson High School chess team members Adele Padgett and Cheryl Liu both competed last weekend in the Eighth Annual All Girls National Championships in Chicago, school officials announced. Padgett, a sophomore, finished second in the 16-and-younger division, while Liu, a junior, was eighth in the 18-and-under category.
