Palatine 14U Bulldogs finish successful season

Congratulations to the 14U Palatine Travelers Bulldogs on their final season together before they head off to high school.

The Bulldogs were successful in the Elite division of the MSBL (Mid Suburban Baseball League), where they came in third place overall in the MSBL Elite division championship held June 18-24. In addition, they took first place in the Lucchese Tournament in Palatine May 18-20.

On their best run of the season, at the Battle at the Beach tournament in Muskegon, Mich., July 6-8, they went 6-0, winning the championship and outscoring their opponents 69-13.

The Bulldogs team is managed by Jeff Refka and coached by Steve Hajdukovic, Marc LaGasse and Bernie Schaeffer. The players are: Ryan Anderson, Troy Hajdukovic, Joe Smaga, Shawn Falbo, Chris Refka, Jimmy Brady, Matthew Lee, Jake LaGasse, Alex Kronberg, Brendan Walker, Eric Schaeffer, Ethan Hajdukovic and Matt McCabe (not pictured).
