Island Lake concert

Come listen to “A Love Affair with the Standards” performed by John Ludy Puleo on July 21 at 7 p.m. at Converse Park, off Route 176 east of Roberts Road in Island Lake. Enjoy the tunes of crooners like Harry Connick Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and others. Born in Chicago, Puleo spent a lot of time in Island Lake, visiting his grandmother, where his parents both met and lived back in the 1950s. He currently performs throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. His professional career includes several recording projects and he is now working on a new CD of standards and jazz, which is due out this summer.
