4-H’er dog show in St. Charles June 20
Submitted by Kane County 4-H
The Kane County 4-H dog show will be held on Wednesday, June 20, at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road in St. Charles. Judging will begin at 6:15 p.m. in Exhibit Hall A and continue into the early evening.
During project judging, 4-H members bring their dog to the fairgrounds for judging. For members participating in dog care, the judge will talk with the 4-H’er about their project. The judge may ask questions about the dog, the 4-H’ers skills in caring for the animal, things the 4-H’er would do differently next year, or any other type of question they feel is relevant to the project exhibited. There is also a dog obedience trial and showmanship classes for 4-H members to participate in.
4-H’ers work on their projects throughout the program year. A lot of time and effort goes into completing the project work. If you are interested in dogs, stop by the show on Wednesday, June 20.
