Planting volunteers sought:

Volunteers of every age are needed by the Vernon Hills Park District from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, Friday, June 8, and Saturday, June 9 at the Sullivan Community Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills. Regina Cady, park district horticulturist, is leading the landscape project to beautify the Sullivan Community Center grounds. All new bushes, perennials, and annuals will be planted. Any time that can be donated to this community project is appreciated. Email Regina at reginac@vhparkdistrict.org for more information.
