Dist. 76 board seeks candidates
The deadline to apply for a vacancy on the Diamond Lake District 76 school board has been extended until Thursday, Oct. 28. Interviews will be on Nov. 3.
The district is looking for a new member to fill a spot vacated last month by Alice Dutler. The new member would serve through April 2011. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, 18 or older, a resident of District 76 for at least a year and a registered voter. At its business meeting Tuesday, the board elected Laura Vogt as board secretary to replace Dutler.
