Mundelein school wins contest
West Oak Middle School in Mundelein recently was notified that it won the $1,500 grand prize in the Apperson Education Products' school contest.
The company, which provides test scoring products, hosts a monthly “Gives Back” contest in which schools can win money for new computers, classroom supplies, educational field trips, and other items. West Oak, which is part of Diamond Lake Elementary District 76, will purchase interactive white boards to help engage student learning, officials said.
