Fox Lake police applicants

The Fox Lake Fire and Police Commission is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for future police department openings. Application forms may be obtained at village hall, 66 Thillen Drive, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. or online at foxlake.org. There is a nonrefundable $25 application fee, and completed applications must be filed at the village hall before May 25. All applicants must be a U.S. citizen with a high school diploma or equivalent, between the ages of 21 and 34 with a valid driver’s license. They must meet several requirements including having no felony convictions and successfully complete various tests, oral board interview and background investigation. Mandatory orientation is June 2 at 9 a.m. at the Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Washington Street and Lincoln Avenue, Ingleside. Written testing will immediately follow. Starting salary is $48,413.00 with benefits.
