Illinois voters should demonstrate sanity
I have been reading a lot of letters about the enormous debt problem that we Illinois residents are facing.
What does this all have to say about the leadership that we have here in our state? It says that there has to be some changes made as to who we want to run our state when we come to the next election.
Our present state leadership has run Illinois’ financial condition into the ground. The leadership in the governor’s office, the state legislature, including both the Senate and the House, must change in order to salvage what is left of our state’s financial future.
Albert Einstein noted that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the results to be different each time. Certain voters here in Illinois keep electing the same leaders (Quinn, Madigan, Cullerton, etc.) to office each election.
We do the same thing over and over and expect the results to be different. Is Illinois the “Land of Lincoln” or the “Land of the Insane”?
