ITW names Hartnett executive vice president

Glenview-based Illinois Tool Works Inc. has named John Hartnett executive vice president of global construction products.

Hartnett, 52, has 32 years of experience in a variety of ITW businesses. Most recently, he served as group president of the automotive aftermarket businesses.  Prior to that, he held a series of management and engineering roles for numerous businesses in industrial packaging.  He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Marquette University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
