Nancy Menzies-Kreuzer’s May 27 letter to the Fence Post is factually and morally correct. In school, “health classes” do not show the growth progress a baby goes through until birth. If so they would see that “it” is a child and that is what is being destroyed.
The main street media will have a two-page spread on the life of a butterfly but spend perhaps three lines on a human life. The Daily Herald at least allows people to vent their opinion in their Fence Post postings. There are newspapers and many magazines that don’t.
For those that are undecided on this subject, I suggest you go to eBay and purchase a used, out of print book, “A Child IS Born.” The Swedish author, Lemart Nilsson, was vilified because his incredibly cutting edge photography was being challenged as fake. Once that was debunked even The New Yorker magazine and the Chicago Tribune had to praise him.
For anyone who has questions about this touchy subject buy the book. Unlikely, but maybe, the library will have it. It is informative and beautifully done.
