Child safety seat check planned

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Countryside Fire Protection District will offer a free car seat safety check from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at the fire department’s, Station 1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. The check point is for parents, grandparents and caretakers who need help installing their child seat or would like a certified technician to check their installed seat for proper fit. Child restraint installation can be confusing due to so many makes and models of vehicles and seats. Attendees are asked to bring their vehicle manuals and child seat manuals, if available, to the event.
