EGHS SKILLS team places at state conference

Elk Grove High School students competed in the SKILLS USA State Conference in Springfield April 27 with good results. Last February, the students qualified to participate in the state conference.

Senior Jacob Bennett placed third in the state in Carpentry; senior Abel Aguilar placed 18th in Automotive Service Technology; and junior Farhood Baiti 26th in Automotive Service Technology.

“Considering there are thousands of students across the state enrolled in these elective classes, I am extremely proud of the boys’ results,” said automotive sponsor Jeffrey Zdenovec.
