Wauconda public works open house

Wauconda will host its 6th annual public service open house on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Wauconda Public Works Facility, 302 Slocum Lake Road. Village Administrator Dave Geary called the event “an excellent opportunity to meet the people who dedicate their time to maintaining the vital services” in the village. Among the activities planned, attendees can see a police K9 demonstration, view other police equipment, test their best baseball pitch against the radar speed detector, and tour a portion of the village water reclamation plant.
